Erin M. Connell, Senior Program Manager
Erin M. Connell, MPA brings her passion for public service and capacity building to her role as Senior Program Manager at Cause Strategy Partners. Her work focuses on expanding the BoardLead program nationally, strategically designing the program to enter new markets as well as overseeing the successful implementation of strong nonprofit board matches. Through CSP’s board placement program, Erin focuses on recruiting diverse candidates to be matched to nonprofit boards around the U.S., strengthening the overall governance and the values of diversity & inclusion across the nonprofit sector.
Erin has worked previously in both social sector and nonprofit consulting, with a particular emphasis on organizational development, capacity building, program evaluation, and strategic planning. Erin is passionate about board governance, and herself serves as the Co-Chair of the Alumni Board at City Year New York.
Erin completed her M.P.A. in Public and Nonprofit Management from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University. During her time at Wagner, she focused her studies on policy as well as nonprofit management and compliance. Erin was the recipient of NYU Wagner’s Jo Ivey Boufford Award for creating innovative solutions to public service challenges, and served as the peer-elected President of the Wagner Student Association. Erin earned her B.A. in Philosophy and Human Rights from Columbia University.
Erin’s causes: equal gender rights, basic human rights, and nonprofit capacity building.
