We feel like the BoardLead process was a smashing success! We were introduced to a great match for us, who brings specialized knowledge, energy, and curiosity about our work and our program. The process also introduced us to a company with which we'd previously had no connection. We are grateful to BoardLead for this great matchmaking!

We are so honored and excited to be part of BoardLead again this year. This program has been integral to our success as an organization and our ability to change and save lives in Houston. Truly, without the amazing Board members BoardLead has cultivated for us, I don't know where we would be."

As a former immigrant herself from Ethiopia/Eritrea during high school, Sewit Bocresion has brought wonderful insights as a Program Committee co-chair to our work. Heart House is a Dallas nonprofit that provides safety, education, and opportunity to young refugee children, helping them move from chaos to calm. Sewit deeply understands how education can help and shares that in her program leadership role. In addition, she is particularly effective at doing her board homework, listening, and asking thoughtful questions as part of our board meeting dialogues.
