Erika Ana Flores, Senior Program Associate
Erika Ana Flores works on the BoardLead team as a Senior Program Associate where she supports talented professionals who are ready to step into high-impact board service at nonprofits across the United States.
In her role, Erika leads Cause Strategy Partners’ Concierge Board Placement program; identifying strategic board opportunities that connect Senior Executives at top companies and professional services firms to nonprofit boards that resonate with their personal values and interests. Erika also supports BoardLead’s strategic partnership development and relationship management, in addition to custom engagements for our corporate partners.
Over the last decade Erika has worked across the public and social good sector. She started her career at City Year New York, then going on to serve under the De Blasio administration at NYC Service; A Mayor’s Office agency aimed at uniting New Yorkers through civic engagement. In both of these roles, Erika channeled her passion for education equity through program implementation as a Program Manager and Compliance Manager. In the years that followed, Erika continued to support New Yorkers and the social sector as a Consultant for the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, helping Limited English Proficient voters access the polls, as well as for Third Sector Capital Partners, conducting research to demonstrate the impact of Pay For Success and Social Impact Bond projects.
Erika is a proud Latina, first generation college student, and native New Yorker who is passionate about leveraging the power of relationships to help historically excluded populations. She can often be found reading a book and snuggling up with her cat, Kylo Wren.
Erika earned her B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Binghamton University and holds a M.P.A. from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University.
